Two Parenting Workshops

Alberta Health Services and other community partners are offering two workshops for parents and caregivers of children and youth aged 8 to 15 to understand their important role in preventing drug/alcohol use in children/youth and to learn some practical ways of communicating well with their children/youth.  Also to learn more about commonly used drugs, risk/protective factors, the influence of their peers, and to share information and ideas with other parents.

The first workshop is a full day session on Wednesday, April 19 from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. at the Provincial Building, Room 1A/B.  For more information, or to register, please contact Leah Hirst at 403-529-3582.

The second workshop is offered as three two hour sessions (must be able to attend all three session) on May 9, 16 and 23 from 6:30 to 8:30p.m. at Medicine Hat Police Station, Community Boardroom. For more information please contact Patti Wagman at 403-580-0147.
